Paris Fashion Week Anarchy project
Dutch fashion designer Mary-Lou Berkulin, along with eight other young designers dubbed Hollandse Nieuwe (the New Dutch), unleashed new collections to unsuspecting publics during Paris Fashion Week (2005) outside Alexander McQueen, Junya Watanabe, John Galliano, Chloe, Celine, Stella McCartney, Ann Demeulemeester, Chanel, and Christian Lacroix. Guests witnessed the showcase in the form of outdoor impromptu catwalk shows and performances. Mary-Lou Berkulin presented her collection Turmoil outside the Ann Demeulemeester show. The street performance concept and accompanying promotional materials were designed by myself and Jeff Ramsey (12 9 21) which included a series of limited edition silkscreened handkerchief showroom invites and a limited edition lookbook. Press coverage of the project was featured in the March 2005 issue of Elle Magazine.
